Field Day Infromation


	El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club AG6AU The Silver and Gold


	Field Day is the annual "shakedown run" for the ARRL's National Field Organization. Field Day is a way for hams to get outdoors and have fun under some difficult conditions. It's also a chance to test and improve amateur-radio operator's emergency communication skills and promote the hobby. Field Day is held the fourth weekend in June from 1800 UTC Saturday to 2100 UTC Sunday. The EDCARC holds it June meeting at the Field Day Site during the event. Everyone is welcome to come and join us and learn something about Amateur Radio.

		The Field Day location is on the Mormon Emigrant Trail, about 23 miles from Pollock Pines on a dirt side road. Look for the signs ( N 38 40.026 W 120 17.257 Elevation is about 6700’ )
